Samos is situated on the north eastern side of the Aegean Sea and can be reached by air from Athens, and by ferry from Crete, Kavala, Icaria and other islands. Samos is not as popular for its beautiful sandy beaches as it is popular for its wine. What you get to see in this small island is red roofed houses surrounded by the blue sea and the mountains. Known as the most beautiful of all Hellenic Islands, the highest point on the island is the Mt. Kerkis, which has a lighthouse that guides sailors through the darkness of the high seas. One of the most picturesque places in Samos is the fishing harbor of Kokkari where on one side you have the harbor and on the other is a beautiful beach.
Real estate investment in Samos has been slow but the market is opening up. You can find different types of properties for sale and nice beach facing 3-bedroom apartment here will cost around €500,000.
